Daniel Carroll is a 22-year-old organist currently studying at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, the most selective music conservatory in the world. He arrives in Glasgow having taken first prize at the 2025 Taylor National Organ Competition in Atlanta and the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition. His programme fuses pieces from his homeland with reflections from his time studying in France. Fire and energy characterise a selection that's also packed with sensitivity and expression—and features a solo singer.
Catch the other concerts in the series:
10th June — Riccardo Atanasio (Italy) performs his own complete transcription of Keith Jarrett’s legendary Köln Concert (1975), the best-selling solo piano album ever recorded.
17th June — Damin Spritzer (USA), world-renowned recording artist and Organ Professor at the University of Oklahoma, closes the series with a programme of American music celebrating the USA's 250th anniversary year—from Philip Glass’s mesmerising Dance No. IV to George Baker's Te Deum.
