A Gay Masseur's Guide to Happy Endings is a one-man show written and performed by Austin Jennings, directed by Joe DeStefano, and produced by Anna Koppelman and Sophia Englesberg. The play follows AJ, fresh out of drama school and desperate for money, who takes up gay massage, and a decade later finds himself trapped with two rich Connecticut daddies, questioning what all his performance has gotten him. An interwoven narrative explores shame, desire, loneliness, and addiction, blurring the lines between intimacy and transaction in a high-stakes session that asks what it takes to stop performing. Jennings, whose credits include Fleishman Is in Trouble, FBI: Most Wanted, The Gilded Age, and Hunters, draws on personal experience in this work of fiction following workshops at Provincetown's Red Room and NYC's Chain Theatre.
