lastminute.com EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARD Winners To Be Announced On 27 August
The winners of the prestigious lastminute.com EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARDS, the UK's premier comedy award, will be announced on Saturday 27th August.
On Sunday 28th August the 2016 Best Comedy Show winner and the 2016 Best Newcomer, alongside all the nominees will be on stage at the Pleasance Courtyard in what has become an eagerly anticipated sold-out date in the Edinburgh comedy calendar - the opportunity to see the undisputed stars of tomorrow on the same bill.
In 2015 it was Best Comedy Show winner Sam Simmons and Best Newcomer Sofie Hagen alongside nominees James Acaster, Joseph Morpurgo, Kieran Hodgson, Nish Kumar, Sarah Kendall, Seymour Mace and Trygve Wakenshaw.
In previous years Best Comedy Show winners like Russell Kane, Bridget Christie, Daniel Kitson, Al Murray - Pub Landlord, Lee Evans and Frank Skinner have performed alongside Best Newcomers including Tim Minchin, Sarah Millican, The Mighty Boosh and Harry Hill.
