Richard Baron Announced as New Director of BOLD GIRLS at Citizens Theatre

In a change to its published programme, the Citizens Theatre has announced that its revival of Rona Munro's seminal play, Bold Girls, will now be directed by Richard Baron.
Richard is an award winning freelance director. Educated at St Andrews University, he was awarded a Scottish Arts Council Trainee Director's bursary at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh and has since been Associate Director at the Dundee Rep, Pitlochry Festival and Nottingham Playhouse theatres.
In 2012 Richard's staging of Rona Munro's Iron was described by The List as "a thrilling revival" and "simply heart-stopping" by The Scotsman.
Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill, who had previously intended to direct the production himself, will focus instead on preparing for theatre's multi-million pound redevelopment project.
In a further programme alteration, Press Night for Bold Girls will now take place on Saturday 27 January 2018.
