EDINBURGH 2018: BWW Q&A- Fun Kids Radio
Tell us a bit about Fun Kids Radio's Epic Roadshow Adventure.
Fun Kids is the only national children's radio station, so we've decided to travel the country and do a big, fun, silly roadshow! Unfortunately the show hasn't quite been going according to plan, so we need a lot of help from our lovely audience to get it back on track. Expect games, music, silly stories, and a LOT of toilet roll.
Who are the presenters?
There are two of us- Dan and Bex- and we both present our own radio shows on weekdays in the afternoons on Fun Kids. We've both hosted stages at various children's festivals like Geronimo, Lollibop and BST, but this is the first time we've presented anything together. Luckily, it's turned out that we have very similar senses of humour and even more similar opinions on what food we should have backstage.
What sets it apart from other kids shows at the festival?
We're the only children's radio station around, which means we're automatically a bit unique! The idea of a radio roadshow for children is a pretty new one, and we're determined to make it as exciting and interactive as possible. We're hoping that our lovely listeners will be excited to see us do a live show for the first time ever, and people who haven't listened to the station before will become firm fans.
What's in it for the adults?
Well, this might be a kid's show, but we need all the help we can get, so the grown-ups are roped in too. And they definitely, totally, absolutely don't end up looking silly AT ALL.
