Tell us a bit about Gráinne With A Fada.

My show is all about being an immigrant, putting people in boxes and what it's like to have to endlessly explain to people how to pronounce your name.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

I absolutely love the Edinburgh fringe festival. You get to see the best comedians and theatre from around the world, get inspired and live five mins from all your friends.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

I am the only comedian at the festival that can give you the inside track on being called Gráinne so for that reason alone, I think people should check it out.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

Anybody who likes laughing, who is still upset about Hillary losing the American election and who needs a safe place to work through their feelings around it.

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Eleanor Tiernan. Pippa Evans, Stephen Bailey to name but a few. There are loads of brilliant, original exciting voices doing great work, so take a chance on someone you might not have heard of!

Timings and ticket information for Grainne Maguire: Grainne With A Fada are available on the edfringe website.
