Tell us a bit about your show

After inheriting an old motorcycle, I've spent the best part of a year driving the unreliable, clapped-out, junk on wheels around the country gigging relentlessly at clubs and festivals that has led to a comedic journey of errors, all whilst trying to find my missing father. It's a tale of the Irish Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance for the soul with some extremely unexpected twists.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

This will be my fifth year at the Edinburgh Fringe and for me it's the most important festival on my calendar. The world's biggest arts festival attracts the most varied and fantastic mix of audience members. The month in Edinburgh really makes for a great show as you work like hell all year getting it ready for the Fringe and, after a month of performing it there, it becomes the best that it can be in my opinion. It's a great opportunity to be seen my press and producers and Edinburgh has played a huge part in my career to date. Also Edinburgh is quite simply great craic. I love it!

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

The show will be the story of a comedy of errors-esque, "on the road" journey all around my own country then over the water on an old, inherited, battered motorbike while maintaining a strong personal narrative about my own family. It gets a little bit dark with subject matter regarding my father's attempt to take his own life at a young age and my discovery of a "secret sister". The show will talk about the funny side of trying to build family bridges on both sides of the water and how things don't always turn out as planned. I think this sets it apart from others and there has never been a show like it.

Who would you recommend comes to see your show?

Everyone! Lovers of live comedy, storytelling with a personal narrative and stand-up lovers alike. I think the show appeals to a large demographic, but over fifteens for audience members ideally given some of the subject matter.

Are there any other performances you're hoping to catch at the festival?

The new shows of Foil Arms and Hog, Bobby Mair, Maddy Anholt, Circus Abyssinia, Rory O' Hanlon, Laughing Stock and too many more to list. As always I'll be going to see as many wonderful random shows as possible!
