Eight new, short plays selected from dozens submitted to our readers by regional high school (including home schooled) students will be performed only three times--on May 10 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and May 11 at 2 p.m. at the Jane B. Cook Theatre at FSU Center for the Performing Arts, 5555 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Tickets are available here.
Eight emerging young writers' work will be judged by learned writing professionals. One play will be determined Best Play and will receive the Verna Safran Prize and $1,000 for its author. The play judged as Runner-up will receive $500 for its writer.
