Judy Carmichael brings SWING TIME! to Feinstein's at the Nikko

Grammy Award-nominated pianist, vocalist, and songwriter Judy Carmichael will bring her new show, Swing Time!, toFeinstein's at the Nikko on Friday, May 31 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, June 1 (8 p.m.). Joined on-stage by Grammy Award-nominated guitarist Larry Koonse, Ms. Carmichael will celebrate the music of Fats Waller, The Gershwins, Cole Porter, and other swing era greats with an evening of gems from the Great American Songbook and her own celebrated original compositions. Judy Carmichael has played major international concert halls and festivals from Carnegie Hall to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice (the first concert ever presented by the museum) to programs with Michael Feinstein, the Smothers Brothers, Melissa Etheridge, Leslie Garrett, Joel Grey, Jools Holland, and Steve Ross.

Ms. Carmichael appears frequently on radio and TV throughout the world and maintains a busy international touring schedule. She is popular with both jazz and cabaret audiences with her soulful, swinging interpretations of the Great American Songbook, and equally impressive hilarious, improvisational anecdotes. Her wit and musical knowledge come together on her weekly NPR radio broadcast/podcast "Judy Carmichael's Jazz Inspired," now in its 19th year. On the show, Ms. Carmichael talks with celebrated creative artists-from Seth MacFarlane and Robert Redford to Tony Bennett and Billy Joel-about their love for jazz and how it inspires them.

Ms. Carmichael has been featured on "CBS Sunday Morning," and "Entertainment Tonight" in the U.S., "Jo Soares" (Brazil's equivalent of "The Tonight Show"), "Mornings with Margaret Throsby" for the Australia Broadcast Corporation and the BBC's "Loose Ends," "In Tune," "Up All Night," "Woman's Hour," as well as numerous other shows. Additionally, she has performed recitals for everyone from Rod Stewart and Robert Redford to President Clinton, Gianni Agnelli, and Cameron Macintosh.
