Plan-B Theatre Company develops and produces unique and socially conscious theatre. The Utah AIDS Foundation empowers healthy lives.

Plan-B and UAF have collaborated on THE LARAMIE PROJECT, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, PATIENT A and FACING EAST over the past decade. So what better way to these milestone anniversaries-Plan-B's 20th and UAF's 25th-than with a free event emphasizing this longstanding community partnership!

Larry Kramer's groundbreaking AIDS play, THE NORMAL HEART (which also celebrates its 25th anniversary this year), is the perfect fit. Written in real time at the height of the AIDS crisis in New York, THE NORMAL HEART serves as an autobiography of Larry Kramer's own struggle with being HIV positive and watching his friends die around him, both of which led him to found the Gay Men's Health Crisis.

This one-night only reading is generously sponsored by Julie Brizzee and Jane & Tami Marquardt.

There will be a cash bar. Season subscriptions to Plan-B Theatre Company's 2010/11 will be on sale and donations will be accepted on behalf of the Utah AIDS Foundation.

WHEN: Saturday, August 14 at 8pm
WHERE: Jeanne Wagner Theatre, Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center
COST: FREE; General Admission
RSVP: Required; email jerry@planbtheatre.org - walk-ups the day of event will be seated after those who have RSVP'd
