Imagination Theater Presents THE GIN GAME

Imagination Theater's is proud to present The Gin Game, A Readers Theater, written by D. L. Coburn, and Directed by Adeline Penn.

Fonsia Dorsey and Weller Martin meet for the first time at a rundown nursing home where they now live. Being sound of mind and mostly of body they discover that they both like to play Gin Rummy. Much is revealed as they do so. The Fonsia and Weller you meet at the beginning of the play are not the same Fonsia and Weller you see by the end. This is a fascinating look at the facades we put up and what may lurk underneath as well as some of the issues we all face as we age.

Auditions: Audition date is Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30 at Imagination Theater. Roles available are one male and one female. Am encouraging people age 40 and older to audition. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script and possibly some improvisation.

Rehearsal and Show Dates: Almost all rehearsals are in July with the show playing at The Smith Flat House as Dinner Theater August 8-11 and 16-18.
