(05/20/2016) - SPACE on Ryder Farm, the non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 200 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York announced its 2016 season for The Working Farm, Family Residency, Creative Solutions Symposium and Artistic Residency programs at The Players Club. In attendence were Josh Charles, David Bar Katz, Michael Urie, and Marsha Norman, as well as 2016 SPACE residents Cusi Cram, Daisy Foote, Adam Rapp, and recipients of the inaugural Relentless Award--Clare Barron and Sarah DeLappe.

(05/19/2016) - Tenor Ronan Tynan just returned to Westchester Broadway Theatre on May 17th, 2016. He is known for his versatile range of repertoire. It includes the operatic, oratorio, concert, and popular music genres. Tynan has performed in concert halls across the United States and internationally including Metropolitan Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, Lincoln Center and Radio City Music Hall. He has appeared on many television shows and is famous for his performances of 'God Bless America' at Yankee Stadium during the seventh-inning stretch. In the wake of 9/11, he performed at benefits and memorial services for New York's Finest and Bravest.

(05/10/2016) - The hit musical, Happy Days, is based on the Paramount Pictures' television series. The series' original creator Garry Marshall wrote the book.  Happy Days features 21 songs, including the series' iconic theme song, by Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe award-winning songwriter Paul Williams, with orchestrator and arranger, John McDaniel.

The musical tells the story of Miguel de Cervantes' wrongful imprisonment during the Spanish Inquisition. In his defense, Cervantes shares the elaborate tale of Don Quixote. Backed by his faithful sidekick, Sancho Panza, Don Quixote pursues his quest for the Impossible Dream. He is a man who sees good and innocence in a world filled with darkness and despair. This inspiring musical invites the audience to explore the contrast between the reality of Cervantes' prison cell and the dream of Quixote's quest for perfection.

(11/02/2015) - The Mavericks have had a busy 2015. The group released their new album 'Mono,' on Feb. 17 and have been touring all over with their Mono Mundo Tour. The Mavericks reunited to record 'In Time,' which was released last year, after an eight-year hiatus while they worked on solo projects. But the award-winning group says that it's thanks to their loyal fans that they have gotten back together and are better than ever.

As the cast, under the leadership of director/choreographer Jeremy Benton, got into the serious business of rehearsals, photographer Jake Primmerman was on hand to commemorate the work that goes into bringing the world of the 1930s movie musical to life onstage at WBT.

(12/09/2014) - Half Moon Theatre Company invites you to bring the entire family to celebrate the holiday season Dec. 5-20 (weekends only) with It's a Wonderful Life: The 1946 Radio Play. Set in a 1946 radio station studio, five actors perform an 'on-air' retelling of this heartwarming tale. The actors portray all of the movie's favorite characters and are joined by a live sound effects artist-who brings the story to life by encouraging audience participation. Kids (and kids at heart) will love getting to applaud and make special sound effects throughout the performance.

(10/06/2014) - At a fundraiser at Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford to benefit the Hudson Valley Honor Flight, WBT donated a portion of all ticket sales for the opening night of SOUTH PACIFIC. The $10,000 total donation was to sponsor the October 18th inaugural flight from Westchester, with the second flight following in April of 2015. WBT owners Bob Funking and Bill Stutler received a proclamation of merit from County Executive Rob Astorino for their efforts on behalf of the veterans. Scroll down for photos!

The musical is set on an island paradise during World War II and tells two parallel love stories against the dangers of prejudice and war and the importance of valuing diversity. Its portrayal of Americans stationed in an alien culture in wartime is as relevant today as when it first thrilled audiences in 1949. One day, a tornado sweeps her house up into the sky and Dorothy and her little dog Toto suddenly find themselves in the magical Land of Oz! Dorothy joins Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion and they journey through the magical Land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their hearts' desires.
