Looking for a unique gift for Father's Day? Have we got a deal for you! This Father's Day you can hit a Home Run with a special Buy One Get One offer for Ocean State Theatre Company's (OSTC) current production of Rounding Third. When you purchase a full price ticket for the Father's Day performance, (June 21 at 2:00 pm), OSTC will give you a free ticket for Dad AND he'll get a coupon for a free snack at intermission. What a great way to spend time with your Dad!

Not only do you get a great deal, you get to see what The Providence Journal says is "a winner of a play!" Richard Dresser's hilarious and touching comedy is a story about Don, the tough, blue-collar, win-at-all-costs coach whose son is the star pitcher and Michael, a newcomer, corporate-exec, who agrees to be Don's assistant to be closer to his son, who's never played baseball before. Don thinks a coach should be teaching the kids how to win. Michael believes coaches should shield the kids from the intense pressure of competition, while making sure everyone has a good time. Over the course of exhilarating victories, heartbreaking defeats, and interminable rain-outs, the two men battle over how to lead the team.

Directed by Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner, who returns to the helm after directing this season's productions of My Fair Lady, Dial M for Murder, and The Meeting, the cast includes Trinity Repertory Company's Fred Sullivan, Jr., who won rave reviews for his star turn as Max in last season's critically acclaimed production of Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23rd Floor. He is joined by OSTC's Managing Producer Joel Kipper, who returns to the OST stage following appearances as George M. Cohan in George M! (2008) and Malcolm in The Full Monty (2010), both down at "the barn," and as Michael in Lombardi (2013) in Warwick.
