For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf is a 1975 experimental play by Ntozake Shange. Initially staged in California, it has been performed Off-Broadway and on Broadway, and adapted as a book, a television film, and a theatrical film. The 1977 Broadway production was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play.

For Colored Girls..." does not have a conventional "plot" or characters. In her introduction to the book version, Ntozake Shange describes the work as "a choreopoem" made up of individual poems that form "a single statement." Structurally, For Colored Girls is a series of 20 poems - a stunning hybrid of poetry and drama that is a powerful exploration of the lives of Black women.

The choreopoem is performed by a cast of seven women characters, each of whom is known only by a color. The characters are the Lady in Red, Lady in Brown, Lady in Blue, Lady in Purple, Lady in Orange, Lady in Green and the Lady in Yellow. Shange's play is funny and tragic, sensuous and sensitive - filled with hope, ritual and the power of healing.
