2nd Story Presents REBECCA, 7/6-29

By:

2nd Story Theatre's performance space has been transformed into Manderley, an isolated mansion on the windswept Cornish Coast, for its production of Rebecca, the stage adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's famous novel, set for July 6 through July 29, 2012.

Mark Peckham (To Kill a Mockingbird, Kimberly Akimbo) returns to direct this suspenseful tale, which unfolds in the living room of Manderley, where Maxim de Winter brings his sweet, young second wife. The new Mrs. de Winter is soon confronted with the mysterious, impalpable presence of her husband's first wife, Rebecca, a presence devotedly preserved by the sinister housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers. With an eerie presentiment of evil, the second Mrs. de Winter walks in the shadow of her predecessor, determined to uncover the dark secrets and shattering truths about Maxim's first wife – the late and hauntingly beautiful Rebecca.

Previews are Friday July 6 and Saturday July 7 at 8PM and Sunday July 8 at 7PM. Preview tickets are $15. Regular performances are July 11 – July 29. Summer performances are Sundays and Wednesdays at 7:00pm, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm. There will be a 3:00PM matinee on Sunday, July 22. There is no evening performance on July 22.
