A true theatrical tour-de-force, Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins combines his signature blend of intelligently stunning lyrics and beautiful music with a panoramic story of our nation's culture of celebrity and the violent means some will use to obtain it. Shown through the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate the President of the United States, Assassins is a gripping historical one-act musical that explores the dark side of the American experience. Content Advisory: Mature themes, including depictions of violence, theatrical gunshots, racial slurs, and references to real-life violent events. Themes include sensitive topics including mental illness, racism, political extremism, and the motivations behind acts of violence.

Is there parking?
Free underground parking is available via Civic Center, located between the Brea Civic & Cultural Center and Embassy Suites. Once you park, take the elevator up to the Plaza Level 1 and look for the Curtis Theatre.
What is the late seating policy?
Latecomers will be seated in between scenes at the discretion of the house manager and ushers, in an effort to not disturb other patrons.
Is the theatre accessible?
Accessible Seating:
Wheelchair accessible and companion seating is available at all performances in designated areas. Accommodations can be made through the box office at the time of purchase. Accessible seating can be purchased on our website, over the phone, or in person during Box Office hours (Tues-Fri 12-3PM and 1 hour prior to performances).

The Curtis Theatre offers assistive listening devices for all performances. Ask a house manager for more information.
Accessible Parking:
Parking is available in designated spaces in our underground parking garage. You can find our free parking garage underneath the Brea Civic & Cultural Center, located between the Brea Civic & Cultural Center & Embassy Suites. The elevators can take you up to Plaza Level 1 where you'll find our theatre.
