OPERA America has announced the 2023 Campbell Opera Librettist Prize recipient, Deborah Brevoort. Conceived and funded by acclaimed librettist and lyricist Mark Campbell, the Prize is the first award in the history of American opera created specifically to honor the work of opera librettists. THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the New York solo concert debut of beloved Broadway veteran Janine LaManna in “Black & Gold” for two shows on Saturday, June 10 and Monday, June 26, both at 7:00 PM.

The Atlanta Opera has announced that five creative teams have been selected to participate in the second annual 96-Hour Opera Project, a composition competition and showcase that pairs composers and librettists to write ten-minute operas.
