A brother and sister inherit a working-class bar on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Millennials from New York and California swarm in to make offers to buy it and "retrofit" it to new uses. Should they sell it for the money and lose their neighborhood? REPULSING THE MONKEY had its first staged reading at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 and, since then, has been performed site-specifically in bars in San Diego, Portland, and NYC. Eichler thought it was about time to bring it to Pittsburgh, and what better spot than on City Theatre's campus in the South Side? All proceeds from tickets will go towards the South Side Community Council. Bring your community, family, and friends to witness the one-week run of this heartfelt play.
