Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Hosts Their Annual Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh
All aboard! The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust hosts the annual Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh, the Cultural District's biggest summer celebration on Friday, July 15, 2011. The cruise-themed party will take place in an exciting new location, the former Bally's building at 119 Sixth Street, immediately following the Cultural Trust's Gallery Crawl.
Tickets for Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh are $50 for the all-inclusive party which begins at 9 p.m. and $100 for access to select VIP Gallery Crawl locations, beginning at 7 p.m. Co-chaired by Sheri Giger and Doug Kassab, Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh features three decks of activities including cosmic readings by the ship's psychic staff, dance lessons, wine flight and beer school classes, main stage performances featuring Analogue Pleasure Model and Expensive Sh*t, samplings of delicious fare from area restaurants, three bars and discotheque with DJ Edgar UM.
Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh celebrates The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's leadership in the ongoing development of Pittsburgh's award-winning Cultural District. Utilizing the arts since 1984 as a means for transforming a formerly blighted downtown, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust today welcomes over a million visitors annually to thousands of performances, gallery exhibitions and community events.
In addition to Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh, the Trust presents the PNC Broadway Across America - Pittsburgh series; Pittsburgh Dance Council; Pittsburgh International Children's Theater; First Night Pittsburgh and Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival among other events.
