Pittsburgh CLO to Hold Auditions For RUTHLESS, 10/16

Auditions are being held for singers who move well for Pittsburgh CLO's Ruthless! The Musical at the CLO Cabaret.

Judy/Ginger: (plays 28-40) Tina's mother is a simple June Cleaver-type housewife who is transformed into Ginger, a Norma Desmond-type Broadway diva.

Sylvia St. Croix: (plays 40-60) The stereotypical "in-your-face" talent manager, who is obsessed with making Tina a star. For this role we are looking to cast a man in drag.

Miss Thorn/Miss Block: (plays 35-55) Miss Thorn is a wannabe actress who had to settle for teaching third grade. She is the director of the school play. Her integrity in casting is questionable. Miss Block is a lesbian reporter who wants to do a story about Tina's past.

Lita Encore: (plays 45-60) Judy's adoptive mother, a theater critic with a poison pen, who hates musicals. An Ethel Merman type with a strong belt.

Louise Lerman/Eve: (plays 12-25) Louise Lerman is the student who beats out Tina for the lead in the school play. She has limited talent and is larger than Tina. Eve is the efficient personal assistant to Broadway star Ginger. She wants Ginger's life and copies her every mannerism.

Requirements: All performers must bring a headshot and typed resume stapled together and a completed audition application.
