Applications are now available for the 2011 Pittsburgh CLO Summer Internship Program. The Summer Internship Program runs approximately 10 weeks beginning in mid-May to early August, depending upon the internship being applied for, and affords students 18 years of age and older the opportunity to work one-on-one with musical theater industry professionals.
Internships are available in the following areas: Cabaret Theater, Choreography, Company Management, Costume Coordination, Development, Education & Outreach, Graphic/Web Design, Hair Design, Lighting Design, Music, Special Events for the National High School Musical Theater Awards, Production Management, Property Coordination, Public Relations/Special Events, Sound Design, Stage Direction, Stage Management and Video Production.By working behind-the-scenes on Pittsburgh CLO's 2011 Summer Season, interns will receive professional training and invaluable hands-on experience in both musical theater and non-profit administration. Running May 31 through August 7 at the Benedum Center, CLO's 2011 Summer Season will feature the world premiere of Love Changes Everything, a song and dance celebration of Andrew Lloyd Webber's music. This bold new production joins the Pittsburgh premiere of 9 to 5: The Musical, and dynamic new productions of Jekyll & Hyde, The Sound of Music and Jesus Christ Superstar to complete the 2011 Summer Season.
