World-Premiere of SHIFTING GEARS Plays Canyon Moon Theatre, 3/7-24
By: Emily Stubbs
It is summer 1961, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In their cabin by the lake, Henry and Annie arrive for their traditional Memorial Day gathering with their two children. But the world is changing around them and this family is buffeted by the conflicts that come from the clash between desires and expectations.
Brought to you by season sponsors Allie Ollie and Kudos, Richard Warren's Shifting Gears runs March 7 through 24 at Canyon Moon Theatre. In a story as old as family and as new as each generation, Warren speaks of family, tradition and dreams with humor and understanding. This world premier will have you laughing and remembering as Warren explores growing up and the tensions that arise even in a family tied together by love.
Shifting Gears plays Thursdays through Sundays, March 7 through March 24.
There is no performance March 15. Tickets are $20. Full-time student tickets are $11.
To purchase tickets or for information on Season subscriptions, call CMT at 928-282-

Sunday performances are at 3:00 p.m. Canyon Moon Theatre is located in the Oak
Creek Factory Outlets, three doors down from the GAP on Highway 179 in the Village of
Oak Creek.
