Pianist, composer and performer William Joseph brings his powerful live show to Mesa Arts Center Saturday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. for his first headlining show in his hometown, after touring around the world and the rest of the U.S. William incorporates pop and rock influences into his original compositions and memorable covers. Tickets are $30 and are available on September 7 through the Mesa Arts Center Box Office at mesaartscenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.

William began his musical career at the age of eight, winning a national scholarship to study piano with acclaimed Russian instructor Sella Saperstein, and was helped along the way through the Phoenix chapter of the Boys & Girls Club, an organization he continues to give back to today. A true Hollywood success story, William was discovered by super-producer David Foster in Phoenix at 2003's Fight Night honoring Muhammad Ali. After Foster witnessed the young man playing an original song on his piano, he was immediately chosen to open that evening's Gala performance, and was then flown back to Foster's studio in Malibu where they recorded the first of two albums subsequently released on Warner Brothers Records. The latest album, the cinematic-sounding Beyond, is a genre-defying crossover mélange that captures a variety of moods, from the dramatic, to the heart-wrenching, to the light and playful, and all performed with the emotional power and polished precision that William has become known for.

William has toured with Il Divo, Josh Groban, and Clay Aiken, and recently completed his first headlining tour through the U.S. and Canada, in part spurred by the tremendous response to his performance in the star-studded PBS television special David Foster and Friends. His energetic performing style has been sought for several prominent celebrity events, as well as performances in the homes of Eva Longoria, Jane Seymour, and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. "To me, touring - and meeting people - completes the journey of making music," William says. "I want to share this music with everyone."
