Soulection Curated Stage Announced for 2016 Gem & Jam Festival

Gem & Jam Festival is thrilled to announce the debut of the Soulection Stage on Saturday, February 13th, during the 10th annual festival, featuring this heavy hitter lineup from the Soulection roster: SANGO, ESTA, JOE KAY, INSIGHTFUL and THE WHOOLIGAN. This exciting addition to the Gem & Jam lineup will be one of the first official Soulection curated stages at a music festival in the United States. Also announced today is the addition of MICHAL MENERT (Pretty Lights Music), TEMPLO, COFRESI and KYMA to Gem and Jam 2016. The full lineup is listed below.

Known for curating a "bass-heavy, groove-oriented blend of hot new remixes of rap and soul tracks" (Los Angeles Times), Soulection is a record label, radio show and niche collective of creative music makers and programmers worldwide. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Soulection hand picks timeless music from around the world and increases visibility for The Sound Of Tomorrow™ through weekly Soulection Radio broadcasts, traditional releases, live events and curated visuals. As a trusted resource and global platform pushing forward honest music, Soulection aims to inspire and a cultural shift in music consumption that values the artistry of music and discovery. With its motto of "Do What You Love," the Soulection Stage is a welcome addition to the 2016 Gem & Jam festival.

Another exciting addition to the main event is Michal Menert, Colorado co-founder of Pretty Lights and member of the PLM (Pretty Lights Music) record label. Menert will be gracing the main stage along fellow PLM member Eliot Lipp, as well as playing an intimate after party. Lineups and details on these late night after parties are to be announced.

Held each year during the internationally renowned Tucson Gem and Mineral show, Gem & Jam hosts over 50 musicians across 3 stages, along with a plethora of gem and mineral exhibits, art galleries and painters, dancers, performers, daytime workshops, late night after parties and much more - all in the stunning Southwestern desert landscape.

For its 10 year anniversary over Valentine's Day Weekend (Feb 12-13-14) in 2016, Gem & Jam Festival welcomes performers Beats Antique, Lettuce, The Polish Ambassador, Tycho DJ set, Nahko and Medicine for the People, Minnesota, OTT (UK) and Lyrics Born (Live).

Rounding out the top half of the lineup are Break Science with The Shady Horns, Mark Farina (Mushroom Jazz), Eliot Lipp (Pretty Lights Music), Desert Dwellers, Dirtwire (ft. members of Beats Antique), Govinda, Delhi 2 Dublin, Exmag, Krooked Drivers, Marvel Years and many others.
