Great Arizona Puppet Theater has announced its upcoming shows running February through March 2013, including Love Stinks Puppet Slam, Three Little Kittens and Canyon Condor.
Friday, February 1 & Saturday, February 2
"LOVE STINKS PUPPET SLAM": Part of an ongoing series of puppet shows for grownups, the Slam brings together cutting-edge puppeteers presenting a variety of short works. Outrageous, moving, bawdy, controversial -- expect the unexpected! Featuring Guest Artist Art Grueneberger of Puppet Art Theater from Sacramento, CA. AGES 18+. $10 if PAID at least 24 hrs in advance, $12 day-of-show. 8pm both nights.
February 6-17
"THREE LITTLE KITTENS -- THE MEWSICAL": In this funny and engaging story, the Three Little Kittens have lost their mittens and don't know where to find them. Where could they be? Maybe the Kittens should ask that sneaky Rat.... A whimsical, "mewsical" show for the whole family! Recommended for preschool -- 3rd grade.
February 20-March 3
"CANYON CONDOR": A fun, educational show about the mighty, magnificent condor! Baby Boo hatches from his egg in the Grand Canyon and as he grows, he learns all about being a condor -- their history, their near-extinction and what people can do to help. Recommended for kindergarten -- 4th grade.
SHOWTIMES (unless otherwise noted): Wednesdays through Fridays at 10am; Saturdays at 10am & 2pm; Sundays at 2pm
PRICES (unless otherwise noted): $6 for children 2-12 yrs old; $9 for adults
