No Face Performance Group Presents DIME, Closes 5/8

By: May. 08, 2011

The story of No Face Performance Group began at a small liberal arts college in an eastern seaboard state not so far away. Its founding members-finding themselves inspired after a brief workshop with a band of ragtag Philadelphia artists known as Pig Iron Theatre Company-spent their undergraduate years making a unique theatre from a wide variety of sources: obscure text, song old and new, avant-garde dance, and their own youtube-addled imaginations.

Having spent the last year learning the ropes from Pig Iron as their apprentice company, No Face Performance Group is preparing the world premiere of its newest full length piece, DIME: The real history of so much stuff. A totally relevant parable of nuclear paranoia and wartime normalcy filled with harebrained science, flashing lights, and childhood smart-assery, DIME will be presented at NOSPACE, the group's studio/performance venue in Fishtown located at 2315 E Hazzard Street. Remaining show dates and times are as follows:

Sunday, May 8 - 2PM & 5PM

Tickets are free and can be reserved at dime.eventbrite.com. For more information visit www.nofaceperformance.org
