CHLAMYDIA DELL'ARTE: MORE SEX-ED BURLESQUE Set for 2013 FringeArts Festival, 9/10-19
Gigi Naglak and MeghAnn Williams are back with the world premiere of CHLAMYDIA DELL'ARTE: MORE SEX-ED BURLESQUE, for six shows only at the 2013 FringeArts Festival. The show will run September 10-19 at The Dive Bar, 947 E. Passyunk Ave., Philadelphia.
This all-new two-person show, written and performed by Naglak and Williams, is a reinterpretation of a classic burlesque show, featuring comedy, songs, dance, striptease, and more-all about that most basic of human desires: sex. You've never taken a sex-ed class like this one!
CHLAMYDIA DELL'ARTE first performed in a sold-out run in the 2009 Philadelphia Fringe Festival, followed by successful runs in Washington, DC (2010), New York City (2012), and Vancouver (2012).
The show is created, written, choreographed and performed by Naglak and Williams.
Gigi Naglak is an actor, choreographer, dramaturg, teaching artist, and museum educator. She is a founding member of the Philadelphia-based Flashpoint Theatre Company, and has performed at venues such as Allens Lane, Simpatico Theatre Project, Tribe of Fools, and Delaware Theatre Company.
MeghAnn Williams is a native of South Jersey and a resident of South Philly. She is a founding member of Flashpoint Theatre Company, and has directed for Flashpoint, First Person Arts RAW, and Tribe of Fools, among others. Her solo performance pieces include PRETTY, THE MANY LOVES OF WILE E. COYOTE, and I SWEAR THIS ONE IS GONNA LAST..., PEEP SHOW, and AT LAST: THE PLAY-AT-HOME ROMANCE GAME SHOW.
