TV: Designed to Celebrate: Tony Awards Toasts 2014 Creative Arts Nominees!

Tom Kitt (If/Then), William Ivey Long (Bullets Over Broadway), Natasha Katz (The Glass Menagerie), Warren Carlyle (After Midnight) and Leigh Silverman (Violet) were just a few of the guests who attended the celebration for the 2014 Tony Awards® Creative Arts Nominees earlier this week at The Skylark (200 West 39th Street) in New York. The Tony Awards, hosted by Hugh Jackman, will be broadcast in a live, three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 8, 2014. ROCKY, which opened Thursday, March 13th at the historic Winter Garden Theatre, stars Andy Karl as Rocky, Margo Seibert as Adrian (making her Broadway debut), and Terence Archie as Apollo Creed. ROCKY hit Broadway Thursday night, officially opening with stars Andy Karl and Margo Seibert at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. The show features an original score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens and a book by Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 1976 Oscar-winning Best Picture, Rocky.The production is directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Steven Hoggett, and Kelly Devine. The new Broadway musical ROCKY began previews in a big way on Thursday, February 13th! Following the first performance, the one and only Sylvester Stallone stepped back into the ring to celebrate the show's launch with the cast. Following an extremely successful off Broadway run and the sale of the film rights to New Line Cinema, ROCK OF AGES opened on Broadway, tonight, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W. 47th Street). Previews began on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
