The 2013 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed on Sunday night to recipients in 14 categories and 4 special honors were bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by acclaimed stage and screen actors Aasif Mandvi and Maura Tierney. After deciding not to air the fourth episode of the new drama series HANNIBAL due to the sensitive nature of the plot following the bombings in Boston, the NBC network has decided to release the the episode online as a six-part web series. In SEMINAR, four aspiring young novelists (Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater, Jerry O'Connell and Hettienne Park) sign up for private writing classes with Leonard (Mr. Rickman), an international literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this provocative new comedy.
