The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards were last night, September 18. Executive-produced by Mark Burnett, the 63RD PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS were hosted by GLEE's Jane Lynch, who kicked the night off with a fabulous production number choreographed by Marguerite Derricks. Titled 'TV is a Vast Wonderland,' the song was written by Adam Schlesinger and David Javerbaum, who also wrote the opening number from this year's Tony Awards and Broadway's CRY BABY.
The cast of GLEE is currently on their sophomore summer tour, and will soon be embarking on the European leg of the trip. Matthew Morrison opened his world tour at HMV Hammersmith Apollo last night in front of a packed out energetic crowd, according to entertainment-focus.com. Morrison is best known for his role of Will Schuester on the global TV hit Glee. Rising to fame as a Broadway actor, Morrison is a triple-threat - actor, dancer, singer - and made his debut as a recording artist with his self-titled debut album earlier this year.
Last night on GLEE, the New Directions raised money for Nationals by holding a benefit concert. The April 19 return of the show also marked the return of Gwyneth Paltrow (who sang Adele's 'Turning Tables') Charice, and Broadway veteran Cheyenne Jackson as Vocal Adrenaline's new coach.
