Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's beloved coming-of-age musical comedy Pippin began performances on Saturday, March 23 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). This all new production is directed by Diane Paulus featuring choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers). The Music Box Theatre will soon be home to the American Repertory Theatre production of Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's Pippin, directed by Diane Paulus. The cast met the press earlier today and gave a sneak peek of the show. Pippin will begin preview performances on Broadway Saturday, March 23, 2013 and officially open Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Music Box Theatre. The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) presents Pippin, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Roger O. Hirson, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with circus choreography by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers) and choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse. Set design is by Tony Award-winning designer Scott Pask, costume design by Dominique Lemieux, lighting design by Tony Award-winning designer Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Tony winner and A.R.T. Resident Sound Designer Clive Goodwin. Orchestration is by Tony Award-winner Larry Hochman, Music Supervision by Nadia Di Giallonardo, and the Music Director is Charlie Alterman.

FABULOUS, ONE MORE TIME: A SYLVESTER CONCERT returns for another sold-out concert at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge. Anthony Wayne (Priscilla; Anything Goes) directs and brings to life the 1970's Disco Singer Sylvester on September 30th, 2012 at 6pm for this one-night-only concert. Anthony Wayne, currently performing as 'Jimmy' on Broadway in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, has written and will star in FABULOUS, ONE MORE TIME: A SYLVESTER CONCERT based on the life of the 1970's Disco King/Queen Sylvester at venue in New York City on July 29th, 2012.

This year's Broadway Beauty Pageant took place last night, March 19th, at Symphony Space. The popular event is the annual benefit of New York's Ali Forney Center. Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming the television pilot, Bunheads, for 3 weeks beginning tonight, November 4. As previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company recently announced a new block of tickets now on-sale through April 29th, 2012 for their Tony-winning production of Anything Goes. It was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, July 31st, 2011.
