Weekend movie box office estimates: July 30 - August 1, 2010.

'Saturday Night Live,' NBC's Emmy Award-winning late-night comedy showcase, enters its 35th season September 26, 2009 for another year of laughs, surprises and great performances.

The debut date for the new seasons of the HBO comedy series BORED TO DEATH and EASTBOUND & DOWN has been confirmed. BORED TO DEATH kicks off its second season SUNDAY, SEPT. 26 (10:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT), immediately followed by the second-season debut of EASTBOUND & DOWN (10:30-11:00 p.m.).

Golden Globe nominee Linus Roache (widely known for his role as Asst D.A. Michael Cutler on LAW & ORDER) and Heather Burns (most recently on stage in THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO as well as the films MISS CONGENIALITY and TWO WEEKS NOTICE opposite Sandra Bullock) will star in the World-Premiere of Will Eno's play MIDDLETOWN, which begins previews at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) on October 6th, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director for the Vineyard Theatre.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards were held at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios on June 6, 2010 in Universal City, California.

According to The Orlando Sentinel, Antonio Banderas has begun work on his 'Shrek' spin-off, set for release in Winter 2011. The film will follow Banderas' character, Puss in Boots, before his first appearance in 'Shrek 2'.

The Barrow Group Theatre Company presents its 16th Annual Celebrity Doodles Auction & Gala on Monday, May 10th, 2010. Each year celebrities donate their artwork, or doodles, that are auctioned off in this annual fundraiser, at which The Barrow Group also honors individuals for their service to the arts and TBG. This year's honorees include Jon Marans and David Diamond.

Spike TV announced today the fourth annual 'Guys Choice' - a one-night-only event for guys where the year's most hotly debated rivalries from the world of sports, comedy, film and more go up against one another mano-a-mano with original categories that embody everything that matters in 'guydom.' The two-hour event pays homage to the things guys love most: superstar athletes, the ladies we love, hilarious comedic performances and legendary rockers. On April 11, the International Academy of Web Television announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Streamy Awards during a live ceremony hosted by actor and comedian Paul Scheer at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

Winners of the 2nd Annual Streamy Awards will be announced on a live online broadcast by the International Academy of Web Television, an independent organization of digital entertainment leaders created to recognize excellence in original episodic Web television programming on April 11th. The Streamy Awards is the first and most prestigious live awards show dedicated to honoring the actors, directors, editors, producers, writers, and production talent behind some of the best original programming on the Web. More than 150,000 public submissions, covering 2,000 original shows, were narrowed down to a field of just over 100 nominatees.

This year's North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival has been 10 years in the making. This nationally renowned festival is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with some substantial growth. The festival runs February 4-27, 2010 and has added two new weeks of sketch comedy performances and film screenings.
