TVLine.com reports that Emmy-award winning actress Kathryn Joosten, star of ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, died of lung cancer in Westlake Village, CA on Friday, June 1. She was 72.

It is so hard to know what to make of last nights world premiere of Yusef/Cat Stevens musical Moonshadow. I would like to talk to you about the story but unfortunately there is no delineated plot to speak of. I would like to tell you what it's about, but at interval I was unsure, by it's conclusion I had no idea. The script is so banal, devoid of purpose and meaning that a concert version would have been far more enjoyable. However, this was not the case and so we delve a little further.

NBC has renewed its Thursday comedy COMMUNITY for a fourth season. The pickup - confirmed by the network this afternoon, is for 13 episodes.

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), in association with noted Harvard Business School Professor Clay Christensen and the Disruptor Foundation, announced it will hold the third annual Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards, hosted by NYU Stern School of Business, on April 27. The 11th edition of TFF runs April 18 to 29.
