York Theatre Company's STORYVILLE Ends Off-Broadway Run Today

The York Theatre Company production of the New York premiere of Storyville, a New Orleans musical, with book by Ed Bullins, music and lyrics by Mildred Kayden, direction by Bill Castellino, choreography by Mercedes Ellington and music direction by William Foster McDaniel will give its final performance this evening, August 17, 2013 at 8:00pm at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's where performances began July 15, 2013. Storyville will have played 8 preview and 27 regular performances.

THE CHEW Scores 5-Month High in Total Viewers

During the week of August 5, “The Chew” delivered its most-watched week in 5 months in Total Viewers (2.49 million), in 9 months in Women 18-49 (477,000) and in over 6 months in Women 25-54 (615,000) – since weeks of 2/25/13, 11/12/12 and 1/28/13, respectively. The week featured Raul De Molina, Laila Ali, ESPN's Mike Greenberg, Michael Pollan, Chef Curtis Stone and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Casa Manana's MISS SAIGON Opens Today

The eleven-time Tony Award-nominated pop opera, Miss Saigon lands on the Casa Mañana stage today,August 10, and runs through August 18.

August Schulenburg Joins the Cast of SOMEWHERE SAFER at FringeNYC, 8/11-8/23

A bomb goes off in New York City. The course of nine lives and a nation are irrevocably changed. Sifting through the pieces of the past and the future, Somewhere Safer's provocative story examines questions of polarization, citizenship and idealism in modern America. This fast paced and fiercely intelligent play was the inaugural recipient of Square One development with On the Square Productions and was twice featured as part of the company's Write Angle Reading Series. It was also a finalist for the 2012 Old Vic/New Voices Playwrights' Exchange, and featured in Flux Theatre Ensemble's 2013 Have Another series. Atmospheric and evocative, Somewhere digs into the serious and timely questions America faces today about what kind of nation we can and should be, and who will lead us there.

The Hub's Annual DOG DAYS OF SUMMER Week to Return 8/12-17

The HUB Network, a destination for kids and their families, celebrates 'man's best friend' with its annual 'Dog Days of Summer' programming event, August 12-17, featuring a week of canine-themed movies and culminating in a marathon of the popular animated series 'Pound Puppies' (Saturday, August 17, 6 a.m.-noon ET), produced by Hasbro Studios.

The York Theatre Company, launches the NEODevelopmental Reading Series with the workshop presentation of the new musical, A Girl Called Vincent, based on the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay, with music written and composed by Carmel Dean, directed by Dick Scanlon and music direction by Charity Wicks. The six-member cast will feature Gerard Canonico, Van Hughes, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Kelvin Moon Loh, Bonnie Milligan and Dani Shay. A single performance is scheduled for today, August 8, 2013 at 3:00pm.

REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY Season Finale Scores with 2.4 Million Total Viewers

Last night's intense season eight finale of Bravo Media's "The Real Housewives of Orange County" at 9 P.M. ET/PT scored a season high among all key demos delivering 2.4 million total viewers and 1.5 million A18-49, according to Nielsen. Anchoring the night at 10 P.M. ET/PT, "Below Deck" delivered 1.4 million total viewers and was up 15 percent from the prior week's episode (7/29/13) in A18-49 with 937,000 marking the third consecutive season to-date high among all key demos. Additionally, last night's "Watch What Happens Live," hosted by Andy Cohen and with guests Alexis Bellino and Jenni Pulos delivered 1.2 million total viewers.

Andrea Burns & More Set for York Theatre's Fundraising Event Tonight, Feat. Songs from New Musical BUDDY'S TAVERN

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) will host aspecial gala event featuring several numbers from the Richard Rodgers Award-winning new musical in development, Buddy's Tavern, with book by Raymond DeFelitta, lyrics by Alison Louise Hubbard, and music by Kim Oler. The institutional fundraising event is set for TONIGHT, August 5 at the Alexandre Gertsman Contemporary Art Gallery (652 Broadway, 2nd Floor, between Bleecker and Bond Streets). Portion of the proceeds collected by the Gertsman Gallery will be donated to The York Theatre Company.

Broadway Records announced today a launch concert to celebrate the release of 'When I Grow Up: Broadway's Next Generation - Live at 54 BELOW'. The concert will take place at 54 BELOW tonight, July 29th at 7:00 pm. The recording was released digitally on Friday, July 26th and on CD on July, 30, 2013. The CD will also be available at the concert tonight, July 29th.
