Starz Chief Executive Officer, Chris Albrecht, announced a 10-episode, second season order for the upcoming STARZ Original series, MAGIC CITY ahead of its April 6 worldwide premiere at 10PM ET/PT.
Starz Entertainment is offering a multi-platform, nationwide sampling of the first three episodes of its highly anticipated, original dramatic series, MAGIC CITY. The first opportunity will be on Friday, March 30, on STARZ at 11 pm et/pt, immediately following the season finale of the hit series, 'Spartacus: Vengeance' with a sneak preview of the series premiere episode.
Yul Vázquez, Tony nominee for his performance in Broadway's MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT, will star in the role of Victor Lazaro in the new, original drama MAGIC CITY. The series will debut on Friday, April 6 at 10 pm ET/PT, exclusively on STARZ.

The Theatre World Awards presentation were held at Jujamcyn's August Wilson Theatre, 245 West 52nd Street (home of Jersey Boys), in an invitation-only ceremony yesterday, June 7, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:45 p.m. Peter Filichia hosted, Barry Keating directed, Mary K. Botosan and Erin Oestreich were the event's producers. There was also a tribute to John Willis, founder of the Theatre World Awards, who died last summer. Last night, May 23, the 2011 Drama Desk Awards Ceremony took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. The Book of Mormon, Anything Goes, War Horse and The Normal Heart were the night's big winners, with favorites Sutton Foster, Norbert Leo Butz, Bobby Cannavale, Frances McDormand, Laura Benanti, John Larroquette, Brian Bedford and Edie Falco taking home the evening's top performance honors.
