Audience-favorite Mario Venzago will lead the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and Argentinian-born cellist Sol Gabetta in Elgar's Cello Concerto tonight, November 29, 2012 at 8 p.m. at The Music Center at Strathmore and Friday, November 30, 2012 and Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 8pm at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

The Joyce Theater Foundation announced today that it has successfully rescheduled Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal to return for four performances December 13 - 15, after its original Joyce engagement this season was canceled due to the power and transportation outages caused by Hurricane Sandy. As previously announced, the program will include new works by Spanish choreographer Cayetano Soto, former Batsheva resident choreographer Barak Marshall, and celebrated Chinese choreographer Wen Wei Wang. Tickets are $10*-$49 ($26-$37 for Joyce members) and can be arranged by calling JoyceCharge at 212-242-0800 or online at www.joyce.org. Please note: ticket prices are subject to change. Marin Alsop returns to the Walt Disney Concert Hall stage to lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in three performances, Today and Saturday, November 2 and 3, at 8 pm, as well as Sunday, November 4, at 2 pm. All three evenings include Golijov's Azul, featuring rising young cellist Joshua Roman, as well as hyper-accordionist Michael Ward-Bergeman, and percussionists Jamey Haddad and Keita Ogawa. The three evenings close with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, "Pathetique," what many consider to be the composer's most profound symphony. The Saturday and Sunday programs open with Barber's Essay No. 2.
