The Hollywood Bowl - one of the premier outdoor music venues in the world and the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic - was honored at the 24th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards at Club Nokia on February 7, 2013, as the Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue. This marks the ninth consecutive nomination and subsequent award representing an industry-wide acknowledgement that the Hollywood Bowl is an icon with a rich and celebrated history, and that it remains a vital and relevant destination for performers and audiences alike.

Tonight, the Houston Symphony announced its 100th Season of Classical, Pops, Family, Specials and Community concerts in a festive party at Jones Hall featuring a champagne reception and live performances by the Houston Symphony brass section. The event was attended by Symphony subscribers, board, league, orchestra, chorus and staff members, and members of the media. Throughout the 2013-14 season, the Symphony will be celebrating its Centennial Season with special concert experiences that celebrate Houston, reflect on the Symphony's 100-year history and look towards the future, including four concert weekends with recently announced Music Director Designate Andres Orozco-Estrada.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) next free OSL@DMC event at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music will feature American composer Sean Shepherd previewing his new commission for St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble. Mr. Shepherd will share his thoughts, insights and inspirations, and members of OSL will play excerpts from his new composition. The world premiere of Mr. Shepherd's Quintet will take place at OSL's next chamber series program, entitled Spin Paris, March 3 - 8, 2013. This is his first composition for OSL.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra announces the highly anticipated inaugural season of Louis Langrée, the Orchestra's 13th Music Director.
