Whistleblower! Branden Jacobs-Jenkins to Adapt German AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE for Broadway

Director Thomas Ostermeier's critically lauded Schaubuhne production of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE by Henrik Ibsen will be presented on Broadway in the 2017-2018 season at a theater to be announced. The acclaimed version by Florian Borchmeyer & Thomas Ostermeier will have a new English adaptation by MacArthur 'Genius' Fellow Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.

Shakespeare & Company's newly appointed Artistic Director Allyn Burrows announced the famed (and largest) Shakespeare Festivals in the country lineup for the 2017 Berkshire summer season at at a press event at Chez Josephine  in New York City and BroadwayWorld was there.  This season includes three Shakespeare plays: Cymbeline, The Tempest, and A Midsummer Night's Dream; plus two Edith Wharton comedies, Roman Fever and the newly adapted The Fullness of Life. Additional titles include the Obie Award winning 4,000 Miles by Amy Herzog; New York Drama Critics Circle and the Outer Critics Circle Recipient, Intimate Apparel by Lynn Nottage; and Tony Award Winner, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza.

Impro Theatre to Present World Premiere Workshop of PLAY UNSCRIPTED This Spring

The award-winning Impro Theatre continues its 11th Anniversary Season with the World Premiere workshop production of Play UnScripted at the intimate Impro Studio in the heart of Los Feliz Village. These completely improvised performances will take place today nights at 7:30pm from March 11 to April 29, 2017.
