Connecticut Repertory Theatre opens HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING this week led by Fred Grandy (TV's The Love Boat, The Mindy Project) and Broadway's Riley Costello (13, Bye, Bye Birdie, Everyday Rapture).

Does Abe Burrows' now classic show How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying still hold up theme-wise? Well, nepotism will always rear its ugly head and those that climb the corporate ladder will continue ruthlessly to step on those beneath them and on those by their sides as well. So, the answer is partly yes! Judging by Friday's young audience at GCT, who were laughing quite heartily, ... Business is curiously entertaining, even though it belongs to the 60s. More about this later. Directors Danny Michaels and Orlando Alexander have pulled out all the stops to make the production work, and every character actor - just about the entire ensemble - are 'spot on' well cast. Once again GCT does not disappoint.

The show that gave birth to bumbling detectives in ternchcoats is alive, well, and on stage at Rainbow's Comedy Playhouse. Catch it if you can.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) announces the complete cast for its production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, the musical comedy by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. Directed by CRT Artistic Director Vincent J. Cardinal, How to Succeed…kicks off the 2016 Nutmeg Sumer Series starring Emmy Award Winner Charles Shaughnessy as JB Biggley alongside Broadway's Riley Costello as J. Pierpont Finch.  Performances of How To Succeed…  will begin on June 2, 2016 and continue through June 12, 2016 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Harriet S. Cardinal is pleased to announce the lineup for the 2016 Nutmeg Summer Series.  Beginning with How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Peter and the Starcatcher and West Side Story., the series runs June 2 through July 17. Camp Broadway LLC, a New York-based youth entertainment company, returns to Atlanta for its 16th annual summer camp on Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10 for one week only. Direct from New York, Camp Broadway will present its signature musical theater program at the Rialto Center for the Arts (80 Forsyth Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA) led by an experienced team of Broadway professionals. This season Camp Broadway presents the songs and scenes from one of Broadway's most beloved musicals, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying written by Frank Loesser and book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert.

Dear Reader (It only seems appropriate to start this review off with that), sometimes a show comes along that feels like a no brainer. A show that's fairly bulletproof and if a theater does it well enough with enough pieces in place then it'll be a crowd pleaser. 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' is one of those shows. You're bound to walk away from it with something you enjoyed. Which brings me to the current production at the 5th Avenue Theatre. They've managed to take this pleaser of a show so far beyond the bare minimum making this gem shine with so much brilliance that you may need sunglasses.

On September 26, the Long Beach Playhouse opens its 87th Mainstage Season with lower ticket prices for Friday night shows. Instead of paying $24, the Friday night single ticket price will be $20.

Now under new ownership, the Fremont Street Theater Company proudly returns with its annual summer production - this year, the Tony-Award winning How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The show opens at 7:30 p.m., tonight, August 7, at historic Cutting Hall in Palatine and will run the two weekends of August 7-9 and 14-16 for a total of eight performances.

The season opens with Lanford Wilson's comedy classic, Hot L Baltimore on September 26, 2015. The season curtain falls on August 6, 2016 with the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. In between are six plays, including a two-weekend run of A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens.

Director/choreographer Ilyse Robbins reigns as chair of the board over a company of established pros and starry-eyed up-and-comers in Stoneham Theatre's effervescent HOW TO $UCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. Tyler Bradley Indyck and Ephie Aardema make beautiful music together, Angelo McDonough almost steals the show, and the ensemble sing and dance with great energy and style. It's bound to do boffo business!

Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers work tirelessly to perfect their dance moves, learn all of their lines, and get their vocal harmonies just right for the culmination of their training session and this spring is no exception! These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 will fill the Little Theater with a variety of shows and musicals to entertain audiences of all ages May 29th - June 7th with their annual Spring Festival of Shows. The Young Performers Workshop (YPW) has been hailed as a "state treasure" by Peter Filichia of the Star Ledger and brings in youth from Morris, Warren, Hunterdon and Sussex counties. This spring, the festival will feature How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Gypsy, and American Sampler: 100 Years of Broadway Dance.  Performances will be held on select dates in the Little Theatre on the campus of Centenary College at 400 Jefferson Street in Hackettstown.
