This autumn marks the 45th anniversary tour of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's School Visit Program (SVP), which sends OSF actors directly to schools throughout the Western United States. Over 100 schools will host actors this fall.

This summer INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. presents an imaginative production of Shakespeare's final play, THE TEMPEST, featuring Thom Rivera as Prospero and directed by Matthew Earnest.  THE TEMPEST will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Saturday, July 30 at 7pm and will open on Saturday, August 6 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, September 4 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.  All ISC Summer Shakespeare productions are FREE to the public!  THE TEMPEST is the second of two productions being presented at this year's GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. RICHARD III played June 25 - July 24.

One of the keys to providing great entertainment is understanding your audience. For a theatre company that means knowing what your audience wants and then being able to provide it so they keep coming back for more. Independent Shakespeare Co. has done a brilliant job of both. The Dowd family has a problem. Beloved brother, Elwood, has taken up with an unsettling best friend - Harvey, a giant, invisible rabbit whom he escorts around town and kindly introduces to everyone he meets. Elwood has always been a bit eccentric, but what is a respectable sister expected to bear - especially when she's trying to find a husband for her daughter? That's the dilemma in Harvey, one of American theater's most funny and charming comedies, coming to the Fallon House stage through November 24, directed by Dennis Jones.
