In celebration of their brand new recording, Quiet Please, renowned musician Steven Blier and celebrated vocalist Darius de Haas will present a special concert, featuring selections from the CD. The one night only event will take place on Thursday, April 28th at 8pm in the Merkin Concert Hall, located within The Kaufman Center (129 West 67th St.). I can't think of a better finale to Segerstrom Center for the Arts' 2010-2011 Cabaret Series season than the impressive Opera baritone hunk Nathan Gunn, whose 4-night O.C. debut set continues in Costa Mesa through this Sunday, March 27. But make no mistake-the man is more than just a handsome face. With a brilliant talent and an affable charm that far outstretched the intimacy of the Center's Samueli Theater, Gunn provided the O.C. with a wonderful last shot of testosterone to a terrific Broadway Diva-heavy season.
