Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theater and Door County's theatrical icon, continues its 80th season with the hilarious musical comedy 'Nunsense,' with book, music and lyrics by Dan Goggin. The lighthearted musical has a six-week run starting tonight, Sept. 9, through Oct. 18. 'Nunsense' received the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Music and Best Off-Broadway Musical.

ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS Gets Release Deate

Locally made film ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS (directed by Ryan Bellgardt) will see its nationwide release on Blu-ray, DVD, On-Demand and Digital on September 1st, 2015. Distributed by Scream Factory (The Babadook, Halloween, Mad Max (1979)), ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS has already been released overseas in Germany, Japan and China. And will hit shelves later this year in the UK.

Laugh it Up, Stare it Down, a new play written by Alan Hruska(The Man on Her Mind, New House under Construction, Reunion) and directed by Chris Eigeman(known as a filmmaker for Turn The River and as an actor for roles in television's Gilmore Girls and the films Metropolitan, Barcelona, and The Last Days of Disco), premiere sat The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). The production began its limited engagement on August 26th with opening night set for September 9th.

On Monday, September 28, 2015, Broadway stars Stephanie J. Block and Aaron Lazar will perform in "A Cabaret Evening" at 54 Below, located at 254 West 54th Street. The evening is a joint benefit in support of The New York Pops PopsEd Programs and Ronald McDonald House® New York. The two organizations partner to provide music education programs that serve as creative outlets for the children and families in residence. Hosted by Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops, the benefit will start with a champagne reception at 5:30PM followed by dinner and performance at 6:30PM.

WoodSpring Suites, the nation's fastest growing all-new construction extended stay hotel brand, celebrated the opening of its first namesake property earlier today. The celebration at the brand new WoodSpring Suites Oklahoma City West Airport included a grand opening party at the hotel along with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Guests attending the event enjoyed local fare, took tours of the hotel and mingled with local officials and many WoodSpring Suites corporate employees who traveled to Oklahoma City for the occasion.
