Two exceptionally talented young musicians will have a chance to perform with the orchestra: Grand Prize Winner of the 2013-14 Young Artist Competition, violinist Alice Ivy- Pemberton and cellist Derek Louie, 2nd Prize Winner. The concert opens and closes with exuberant classical works, Mozart's Impresario Overture and Beethoven's Symphony No. 1.
A silent auction featuring unique artwork by local artists will be held in the lobby.

That's the lesson of 'The Emperor's New Clothes,' coming to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre today, May 17 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This original musical adaptation is presented by the award-winning Kaleidoscope Theatre. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced that its 2014 Spring Gala will honor Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. Second Thought Theatre Co-Artistic Director Steven Walters announced today the complete cast and creative team for BOOTH, the brand new play by Walters with story and research assistance from Erik Archilla about the man behind one of the most tragic assassinations in American history. BOOTH, which Walters will also direct, beings with previews on Wednesday, May 21 and runs through Saturday, June 14. No one likes cancellations, especially performers. Luckily, when both mezzo-soprano Susan Graham and pianist Bradley Moore were ill and had to cancel their April 2nd recital in Philadelphia, they were able to reschedule within just a few weeks. Considering both Graham and Moore have quite busy calendars, it's tremendous that the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society was able to reschedule a performance with them so quickly.
