Oscars® producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin announced today the first slate of presenters for the 88th Oscars telecast. The Oscars, hosted by Chris Rock, will air live OSCAR® SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, on the ABC Television Network.

All the World's a Stage is a new musical that tells the beautiful story of life. The actors of this devised production tell personal stories of the many common experiences that connect us: birth, coming of age, love and relationships, career, loss of loved ones, aging and the greatest mystery of them all. The stories are connected by Shakespeare's concept that 'All the world is a stage,' and that even if the details of our lives vary, we all share many of the same great moments.

Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT San Jose), a nationally acclaimed theater company honored nine times by the NEA, and the oldest operating performing arts organization in San Jose, now in its 48th year, presents the local premiere of Sister Act, the first 2016 show of the current Mainstage series. Sister Act, directed by CMT Artistic Director Kevin Hauge, who is celebrating his 20th anniversary with the organization, runs March 4-13 at the historic Montgomery Theater (271 Market Street, downtown San Jose). LaToya Gardner adds yet another theatrical conquest to her already impressive resume: Sister Mary Clarence/Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, the musical theater version of the Whoopi Goldberg film that has delighted audiences since its debut in 1992, inspiring one sequel (with maybe another on the way) in the process.

Rashida Jones stopped by ABC's THE VIEW to talk about her new show 'Angie Tribeca' airing on TBS. The show is a spoof of police procedurals and is produced by Nancy and Steve Carell.

Chicagoland audiences will rejoice with The Marriott Theatre's first mainstage production of their 2016 Subscription Season, the heavenly Broadway musical comedy, SISTER ACT, previewing February 10, opening February 17 and running through April 3 at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire.  Featuring a sparkling score by Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winner Alan Menken, with lyrics by Grammy Award-winner Glenn Slater, the hilarious and joyful musical is based on the hit Whoopi Goldberg film of the same name. Director Don Stephenson (Titanic at Lincoln Center, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike and Lend Me A Tenor at Paper Mill Playhouse, Guys And Dolls at Goodspeed Opera House) makes his Marriott Theatre directorial debut with the five-time Tony-nominated musical, featuring choreography by Melissa Zaremba (Marriott's La Cage aux Folles) and musical direction by Jeff Award-winner Doug Peck (Marriott's Dreamgirls and Fiddler on the Roof).

BROAD CITY is back bb! Season three of the hit Comedy Central series returns with ten all-new episodes beginning on Wednesday, February 17 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to Joe's Pub at The Public to launch the Winter/Spring 2016 season on Sunday, January 24 at 9:30 PM. This season will include tributes to Eartha Kitt (January 24 at 9:30 PM), the musical Cabaret (February 21 at 9:30 PM), Elton John (March 20 at 9:30 PM), Barbra Streisand (April 17 at 9:30 PM) and George Michael (May 22 at 7:00 PM). Special guests for each show will be announced.

Production began this week for the scripted comedy “Nicki” from executive producer Nicki Minaj. Directed by Tim Story (“Ride Along,” “Think Like a Man”) and shot in Queens, New York, “Nicki” stars Ariana Neal (“Get Hard,” “Fruitvale Station”), Selita Ebanks (“Real Husbands of Hollywood“), Wesley Jonathan (“The Soul Man”) and McCarrie McCausland (“Army Wives,” “The Originals”).  Whoopi Goldberg and J.B. Smoove will guest star in the first episode.

The third show in Laguna Playhouse's 2015-2016 season will be the U.S. Premiere of ACT 3..., written by David Ambrose and Claudia Nellens and directed by Martin Bergman. Rita Rudner and Charles Shaughnessy will star.

Jamie Wilson is delighted to announce that Alexandra Burke will star as 'Deloris Van Cartier' in the national tour of Curve's all new production of the hit musical comedy SISTER ACT, directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood with musical supervision and arrangements by Tony award-winning Sarah Travis. A frantic farce opens the 43rd Season at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Now on stage is Ray Cooney's hilarious comedy Run for Your Wife, with performances through Feb. 7.

ROCK AND A HARD PLACE, an unprecedented look inside a youth prison boot camp, will debut in May, exclusively on HBO. The powerful documentary is produced for HBO by Seven Bucks Productions, co-founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, and 44 Blue Productions.
