Academy Award and GRAMMY(R) Award-winning superstar Jennifer Hudson will perform on the BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, an entertainment special to be broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston, tonight, July 4 (10:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Beginning July 12 and through August 20, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will host the 34th annual Seaside Summer Concert Series at Coney Island and the 30th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Field in Crown Heights.

NBC is partnering with the acclaimed 'Smash' producing team of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (film versions of 'Chicago' and 'Hairspray') to present a live broadcast of 'The Sound of Music,' based on the original Broadway musical, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment.

SPARKLE will be released in theaters on August 17th by Sony Pictures, starring Broadway veteran Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Carmen ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, Cee-Lo Green, and the now late Whitney Houston. Directed by Salim Akil and written by Mara Brock Akil, the movie just released a music video titled 'Celebrate' that features clips from both Sparks and Houston in the film. Check it out below!
