The Lantern Theatre Presents Can't Stand Up for Falling Down by Richard Cameron and featuring Laura Hobson, Carla Harrison-Hodge and Samantha Robinson, under the direction of Ruth Carney, with sound design by Andrew Griffiths. The show will run 23 - 27 October, with press night set for Tuesday, 23 October at 8pm.
LOSERVILLE is an original musical, written by ex-Busted singer/songwriter James Bourne and writer/composer Elliot Davis, was commissioned and produced by Youth Music Theatre UK at the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell in 2009. It was subsequently optioned by Kevin Wallace for professional production and premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds in June 2012. Raleigh Little Theatre presents The 39 Steps, a send-up of Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller. Starting October 12, 2012 and running for three weeks, The 39 Steps is a tale of romance, intrigue and espionage that will leave audiences laughing for ages.
English Touring Theatre and Liverpool Playhouse will complete a trilogy of Roger McGough adaptations of classic Molière comedies with THE MISANTHROPE in spring 2013. The Misanthrope premières at the Liverpool Playhouse in February 2013 before a national tour.

The York Mystery Plays, a medieval cycle of plays which have been performed by the people of York for hundreds of years, will return to the city this year on an epic scale from today, 2 to 27 August. As well as a cast of professional actors, over 2,500 people will be involved in the staging of this production including over 1,500 local volunteers as the two casts of community ensemble, musicians, choir and crew.

Theatre company Frantic Assembly, led by artistic directors Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett, have announced the cast for the revival of their hit boxing play Beautiful Burnout, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010, in a co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland.

Soho Theatre has announced a full summer season of theatre, comedy and cabaret to be presented both at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in London. In theatre, the group presents new work from Phil Porter, Will Eno and Joel Horwood. In Edinburgh and in London Soho presents acts from across the globe, including Barry Award Winner Doctor Brown and the joint Best Newcomer Winners from the Melbourne Comedy Festival Matt Okine and Ronny Chieng. Plus the return of the Soho Literary Festival.
