16th Street Theater's Artistic Director Ann Filmer collaborates with Ilesa Duncan (Artistic Director, Pegasus Players) and Daniel Bryant (Artistic Director, Congo Square) on BROKEN FENCES written by Steven Simoncic playing September 19 - October 26 at North Berwyn Park District's 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn. Co-directed by Filmer and Duncan, and starring Bryant, BROKEN FENCES focuses on two neighboring couples, one black and one white, in Chicago's gentrifying Garfield Park. Named 'Best Emerging Theater 2013' in Chicago Magazine, 16th Street concludes its 2013 Season Six: The American Dream with BROKEN FENCES.

The Chicago Commercial Collective has announced the return of the Chicago and Broadway hit drama, A Steady Rain, with its original cast and crew to the Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. The production, written by Keith Huff and directed by original director Russ Tutterow, runs Saturday, July 7 - Sunday, Sept. 2. Previews are July 7 at 8 p.m. and July 8 at 2 and 7 p.m. Opening/Press night is Tuesday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. The regular run is Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and are $40 (preview tickets are $35) and may be purchased online at www.asteadyrainchicago.com. Student and group discounts are available.
