Celebration Theatre has announced its annual Vibrant Voice Awards benefit event, this year featuring original 'Golden Girl' Betty White along with her Hot in Cleveland co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick reading a classic episode of The Golden Girls. The 2014 Vibrant Voice Awards will be presented to Wendie Malick and Robert Forster, and there will be special appearances by Sean Hayes and other stars to be announced.

Wendie Malick & Robert Forster to Lead Celebration Theatre's A KIND OF KIND Benefit Reading, 11/25

Celebration Theatre has announced a benefit reading of A Kind of Kind, a world premiere play by Miles Brandman, starring two-time Emmy Award nominee Wendie Malick and Academy Award nominee Robert Forster on Monday, November 25 at 8pm at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Directed by Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews, proceeds from the reading will go to support Celebration Theatre.

William H. Macy, Beau Bridges & More Set for THE EXONERATED Reading in LA Today

Tonight, November 9 (6PM), James Avery, Beau Bridges, Jamie Hector, Helen Hunt, William H. Macy, Wendie Malick and Brent Spiner will star in a staged reading of Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen's acclaimed docudrama THE EXONERATED, which will be the closing event of Theatricum Botanicum's 40th Anniversary Season.

The 24th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards, celebrating theatrical excellence and achievement during the 2013 season, were presented on Sunday, November 3 at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse Thirty-five awards were bestowed upon 13 different Southern California theatre companies. Leading the pack with 12 was Center Theatre Group (seven for The Nether at the Kirk Douglas Theatre; three for Joe Turner's Come and Gone at the Mark Taper Forum; one for The Scottsboro Boys at the Ahmanson Theatre; and one for The Royale at the Kirk Douglas Theatre). CTG was followed by 3-D Theatricals with five awards (four for Parade and one for Shrek the Musical). The Chance Theater and La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts took home three awards each (including Best Season for La Mirada); Circle X Theatre Company, the Fountain Theatre, and the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble tied with two each. A new trailer for JEWTOPIA,based on the Off-Broadway hit, has just debuted. The story focuses on two friends, Adam Lipschitz (Joel David Moore) and his non-Jewish friend Christian (Ivan Sergei), both approaching their 30th birthdays. Gentile Chris is interested in dating a Jewish woman (Jennifer Love Hewitt) because he feels that she will make his life easier by making all of life's decisions for him. Adam wants to date Gentile women because he does not want to be reminded of his roots. The two team up and teach each other how to woo the women of their choice. Check it out below!
