The Mystery of Edwin Drood is playing a limited engagement at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street) through March 10th, 2013. The original end date was February 10th, 2013. 'Ye Olde MZ' found plenty of scandal at the Music Hall Royale. The actors' behavior, complete with scandals, meltdowns, and showmances practically cried out for a league of light chemists (some took to calling them 'paparazzi'). Ye Olde MZ captured a series of these shocking acts on Mr. Eastman's then-recent invention giving you a behind-the-scenes look at The Mystery of Edwin Drood that must be seen (by only the most intrepid of souls) to be believed.

Warren Carlyle to Choreograph Kelli O'Hara-Led CAROUSEL at New York Philharmonic, 2/27-3/2

According to an Equity castng notice, the New York Philharmonic's staged production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel (February 27-March 2, 2013) will feature choreography by Warren Carlyle. The evening will feature Kelli O'Hara as Julie Jordan, Nathan Gunn as Billy Bigelow, Stephanie Blythe as Nettie Fowler, and Alexander Gemignani as Enoch Snow. The production will be directed by John Rando, replacing the previously announced James Brennan due to scheduling conflicts, and conducted by Rob Fisher.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Erin Davie will join the critically acclaimed new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Betsy Wolfe continues as "Rosa Bud" through February 10th and Erin Davie will assume the role beginning February 12th, 2013.

CHAPLIN Will Open in Brazil in 2014

The new musical CHAPLIN will be produced in São Paulo, Brazil at the Teatro Procópio Ferreira in April 2014 by Chaim XYZ Produções. The current Broadway production will play its final performance at the Barrymore Theatre on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

CHAPLIN, a new musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin played by Rob McClure, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Christopher Curtis, opened on Broadway on Monday, September 10, 2012. Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow; Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway) directs and choreographs the production. McClure's past Avenue Q castmate Ricky Lyon and Joseph Siroa just visited the show and you can catch photos of the duo backstage below!

A Christmas Story, The Musical and STOMP Out Bullying have announced the Grand Prize winner of their Anti-Bullying Writing Competition, Ahmed Shayef. A 7th Grader at M.S. 577 in Brooklyn, Ahmed has won a walk-on role in the Thursday evening, December 27 performance of A Christmas Story, The Musical.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood is playing a limited engagement at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street) through March 10th, 2013. The original end date was February 10th, 2013. Yesterday the cast gatherd at DRG Records to record the cast album of the new 2012 Broadway production. The cast album will be a two-disc set that will also include a new Act Two opening number, additional ballet music from Puffer's opium den, an additional Act One track not previously recorded and eight tracks featuring the confession of each murderer. CHAPLIN's Rob McClure Wins Clive Barnes Foundation Award

Rob McClure, the star of Broadway's CHAPLIN, has received the Clive Barnes Foundation Award in Theater for his outstanding performance as Charlie Chaplin it was announced today at a ceremony at the Walter Reade Theatre. The awards were established by Barnes' widow Valerie Taylor-Barnes to honor outstanding young talents from the worlds of theatre and dance.
