Theatre Harrisburg's WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? Opens Tonight

Theatre Harrisburg continues its 2014-2015 Mainstage season with one of America's greatest plays - WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? by Edward Albee. Opening tonight, March 13 at the Krevsky Center, other performances are scheduled for March 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22. Show times are Wednesday & Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Today & Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. All tickets are priced at $25 except Wednesday, March 18 when all seats are only $20. Tickets may be purchased by visiting or calling the Whitaker Center box office at (717) 214-2787. This production is sponsored by Metro Bank.

Audra McDonald, George C. Wolfe and Savion Glover Team for New Musical 'SHUFFLE ALONG'; Coming to Broadway Next Spring!

Next spring, Tony Award winners Audra McDonald, George C. Wolfe, and Savion Glover will team up to collaborate on SHUFFLE ALONG, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a musical about the events that led to the creation of the groundbreaking Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle musical Shuffle Along. Starring Audra McDonald as the 1920's star Lottie Gee, directed by George C. Wolfe -- with a book written by Wolfe -- and choreographed by Savion Glover, the musical marks the first time that the writer/director and choreographer will have worked together since their 1996 hit Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Previews will begin Monday, March 14, 2016. Opening night is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

BWW Interviews: FRAWLEY BECKER Discusses His Play Tiger by the Tail To Open Tonight at Group rep

FRAWLEY BECKER is a published book and short story author and a published and three-time prize-winning playwright. A man of many talents, he was a State Department Entertainment Director for military bases outside Paris during the Cold War, founded the first African-American theatre company within the U.S. military in 1959, formed Paris Playhouse in 1963 and was the first to professionally produce Edward Albee plays in France. For the next ten years he worked as a bilingual dialogue coach in films while living in Paris, coaching Audrey Hepburn, Peter O'Toole, Rex Harrison, Omar Sharif, Jacqueline Bisset, Ann-Margret, Samantha Eggar, Robert Ryan, Gene Wilder and all the Oompa-Loompas of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Back in the U.S., Becker worked as a location manager for features including Jerry Maguire, Steel Magnolias, and the original Footloose, and TV movies for Oprah Winfrey Presents; and was a production executive at The Disney Studios. His award-winning, searing drama 'Tiger by the Tail' has its west coast premiere March 6 through April 19 at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, CA. Nick Offerman to Lead World Premiere of A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES in Boston

Huntington Theatre Company, the 2013 recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award and Boston magazine's Best Theatre of 2013 and 2014, announced today the world premiere production of A Confederacy of Dunces, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by John Kennedy Toole, directed by David Esbjornson (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and All My Sons) and featuring Nick Offerman of NBC's 'Parks and Recreation.' Performances will run November 11 - December 13, 2015 at the Huntington's mainstage, the BU Theatre.
